Please read me

I peruse this forum on a regular basis to keep things updated and have noticed some are not taking care of business.

I know this forum could use a little work, but if members are going to use this feature of the forum - they should also follow their threads and update them.
Once the item is found or sold you need to pm any mod (or report the post) to change the title.
You cannot edit the title or remove the thread (only mods can).
The threads will not be removed, as we all need these to do research.

So far we have no rating system (not sure if we need one), but if a discussion is to take place about improving this forum we can either discuss it here or in the suggestions forum.

thread starter can not report own post and your name is not listed as a mod for this forum on top of the page.

The classifieds section has been looking a bit messy lately.. Any new thoughts on how to go about enforcing these rules to keep it reader friendly? Do we had a classifieds mod?

Any of the mods/admins can edit the title if an item is sold. Pm anyone that is on, or when they come on they can take care of it.

It would save time for us to have a heads up. Thanks

Wouldn't it just be a whole lot easier to let the OP edit the thread title?
Then, there is no excuse and the OP has ownership of the "problem".

I agree with Geoff.. PM'ing a mod for every thread is cumbersome and could over-work our already overworked mods..

I would like that as well guys, but don't see that option.
It looks like the thread originator can open/close their thread in this section.
Someone want to try it out? Maybe this is what we have to work with without a hack.

And thanks for that suggestion!

EDIT: just closing it sucks...the title still needs to be edited, and the author cannot yet do that.
