To tell ya the truth, I don't know what version came with SystemWorks 2003 Pro. But it went over without a hitch...I think.

Did all the goodies: clean out the extra trash, updated and checked with anti-virus, Ad-aware and SpyBot, ran checkdisk on all the drives(partitions) and then defrag nice and smooth before making an Image.

Upon completion, I ran a check and it verified all was well. I gotta kick myself in the seat for waiting this long to make a good backup. Being a novice, I thought it would be more difficult than it really was.

I do have an older copy of True Image 6.0 I got for a special for verifying my Ghost program. i was supposed to replace it, but never did cause it was part of a package. Maybe I'll try TI 6.0 on another system just for fun

I'm certainly glad that link to your article brought me this way cause I can see some good reading in the forums ahead.

TH,

I followed your guide and used TrueImage to make an image of my C and D drive (on one partition of my new 250GB maxtor $99 harddrive with external case ), but whenever i finish the image and try to explore it to see if everything worked well, i get a corupt image file. Any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

There are too many variables for me to say it's one thing or another. So here are some thoughts.
- Make sure you have all the latest drivers, especially those that apply to your chipset and usb.
- Make sure you have the latest build of TI.
- Check the Technical Support page and the TI forums. Try a search for "corrupt image".
- No overclocking while making an image.

I approved it about 10 minutes ago - try it now and see if it works. Clear your cache first.
