333 fsb cpu in 266 fsb mb ?

Can 333 fsb cpu be used on 266 fsb mainboards?

Thanks in advance for insight from people with this experience.
This is with AMD cpu and mb.

333? I have heard of 400 and 533, but never 333. I have heard of 333 memory, but not a cpu.

If you're talking '266' FSB Athlon vs. '333' FSB Athlon, then I would say it would probably work. But, the more important question is will it run at the proper FSB. That would be a chipset / mobo OC, and it depends on the particulars. In fact, the '333' Athlon might not even be recognized by the BIOS of the mobo you're asking about. Especially if your talking about a Barton Athlon.
