| Good day, I had the exact same problem. Installed all the parts but when I powered it on, the fans, hard drive came on but no display, no beeps. I corrected it by doing the following: 1) remove all cards including video card 2) remove the memory - DDR or SDRAM 3) power the motherboard up - you should get a long beep 4) power down 5) install SDRAM and video card 6) power up and you should get the display and be able to get into the bios. 7) load bios setup defaults and save 8) power down 9) install all remaining cards Once you have the system up and running, you can swap out the SDRAM for the DDR. I followed these steps and my A7A266 has been working fine since. I have also upgraded the bios to 1006 final and everything checks out. Hope this helps. Ironhand |

Visually inspect the board for any leaking capacitors or bulging capacitors. At the time this board was manufactured there were some bad batches of capacitors being made. Also check that the board is not shorting out with the case anywhere, including under it. Next, make sure you have the memory in the correct slots! SDR should go in one particuler set of slots and DDR goes in another, but you cant mix SDR and DDR on the board, either one or the other only. (Review your manual for which slots are which. Use only 1 stick for now. Also put the vid card in and connect up a monitor but nothing else, so only memory stick and the vid card. Does it power off after 4 secs under these conditions? If "Yes" then try the test again with a different stick of memory. If it still powers off then I suspect either faulty A7A or faulty power supply. Easier to check the power supply; if you can replace it with another one.
