A7n8x-e

I'm thinking about getting an A7N8X-E to replace my A7N8X Deluxe. The reason I might do this is because my version of the A7N8X Deluxe was one of the earlier model revisions (Rev 1.04) and seems to have problems with SATA HDD's that I can't find a solution too. The A7N8X-E is relatively cheap now, and has a few extra features over the one I have.

What I want to know about this board is does the SATA controller it has work with Maxtor and any other drive without problems? I have a Maxtor 6Y120M0 120GB SATA drive that I can't use because of this problem. I'm currently using a 30GB IDE drive that's getting full and is very slow, so I need more drive space.

I don't really want to buy this board and find it has the same problem (though I doubt it has).

Thanks.
