| Hi Folks, perhaps someone can help me with this: On the A7N8X there are supposed to be connectors for external thermal sensors. I found one (this one is mentioned in the manual) in the bottm right section of the board (close to the cmos battery). With the two onboard sensors of the A7N8X this makes three sensors. But according to MBM there should even be a fourth sensor. I assume this ones also a connector for an external sensor. Nothings documented in the manual in this regard. Does anyone have a clue where to look ??? Thanks for any help in advance. Zonga |

| There are three internal sensors to monitor motherboard, cpu diode and cpu socket. Then there is the power supply thermal sensor header that I expect you are referring to that is located bottom right of the motherboard.

| MBM5 displays 5 available Sensors (Asus1 to Asus4 + CPU-diode sensor). 1 and 2 display case and mobo temperature. 3 is reserved for the connector for the power supply thermal sensor. I was wondering whats up with Asus4 - it gives me constant readings of 25C so I assume there should be a sensor or connector on the board which is yet unconnected / available. The CPU diode readings are meassured seperately from these Asus1 to Asus4 sensors (displayed as W83L...-diode in MBM sensor selection). The fourth sensor/connector isnt the HDD either (I also checked this). May this be a connector Asus left unfinished on the mobo??? Any suggestions? |
