Question age old question, upgrade or not?

I'm getting the itch to upgrade. I was thinking of IWILL kk266r and a 1330 chip for around $250. Is the current athlon socket a config going to be here for a while? Or would it be best to wait. All opinions and suggestions welcome.
Thanks

The socket A is supposedly hear to stay. I heard it is supposed to work with the palomino. Where can you get that set up for so cheap?

I made a mistake, It's $300 for both at pcboost.com. I bought my 700e with them and was impressed with their service and the chip itself (luck).

The IWILL's will support the new generation of Athlon chips.
They have the 3 phase power that will accomodate them - I believe the Abit does also.
At this point I would wait for the Athlon 4 - it's very close to being released.

I'm going to move this over to the AMD/Via forum...
