So where do people that only have a 266MHz CPU stand??

Should I still run it in sync with the proccessor or push it as close to 400MHz as I can?

Those are really good scores and close to mine at 200, except for the 3983. Is that really 3983 or is that 2983? Find is strange that a 4 Mhz difference between us makes a 1,000 point spread. Is this the Abit board? What's the unbuffered score? That way we have a good comparsion. Glad to see that you finally have a board that works for ya.

Oops That was supposed to be 29xx, fixed it

I'll do unbuffed later. And thanks, I'm really glad I have a board a like - so far this is the best motherboard I've ever owned

I got 1571/1681 unbuffered @207MHz, a bit on the low side I'd say. I actually got high number with more relaxed timings (around 1600/1700) - odd.

That's one of the reasons why I have been questioning the need to go over 200 fsb. It seems that 200 fsb with tight RAM settings may provide better throughput. Confusing to me. The unbuffered is definitely a good test for checking this though.

It's not just the bios for XJ and myself. We are not using the Asus A7N8x board. I'm using the Epox 8rda and XJ is using the Abit NF7 (at least, I believe that is the name of his board).

But I do get better buffered scores with higher clocks - and I'd imagine that buffered scores are more directly related to typical program use than unbuffered. Weird though.

My board is the Abit NF7-S.
