Fastest Processor for Asus A7A133?

I see that Asus has a 1013.001 beta BIOS available for my A7A133 board. Since this has been out for some time there are no longer any notes on the site about what it updates. I would like to swap out my AMD Athlon XP 1400+ for a faster processor, but I would like to know what the board will allow. I recall reading about people using AMD Athlon XP 2400+ or 2600+, which I can find cheaply enough. I don't want to get a new board at this time, so what do you guys recommend?

Looks like you can go up to an XP 2600, if you have the right board rev and bios.

Thanks! Try as I might, I couldn't dig that page up. I'm on 1012 right now, so I should be set.

Interesting that the Durons are supported starting with the beta BIOS 1013.001, although that's a pretty low-end chip.

The 1400 Durons started there, but the lower ones were supported in all versions and bioses... It's almost like an afterthought...

So long as your board version is v1.00 (where there any others?), then you'll be fine.
