| One of my old computers that I had laying around my house was an old amd Duron 750 MHZ Asus mobo 512mb of kingston memory and a ati radeon 9600 XT. I really had no purpose for this computer untill i overclocked it from 750MHZ to 1.6GHZ on standard air cooling and it runs perfectly stable. I ran cpu burn in with error checking disabled for max heat gen for 2 days and the cpu temp max reached 57 celcius and i was wondering if any of you had any sujestions to me about this computer and if you guys think that it would be safe to try and overclock it more with out frying the cpu. :wave2: |

| That's a great increase in speed, it's got to be some kind of record with those processors! I would run prime 95 for a couple hours just to be cartain it's stable, but that's great! Congratulations, I'm glad that worked out for you. Not many people are that lucky, a 113% overclock! You should submit that to the database on overclockers.com, they might not beleive it though! I'm sure some of the people arround here want to know what settings and type of mobo. Also what bus speed and multiplier are you running? That's insane. |

| i agree with Deer Slayer, that's an insane OC. and like hondaman, im gonna take a look at my Athlon 850mhz (though i think i need a goldfinger device or the pencil trick to unlock the multis...not to mention a motherboard that's not completely worthless when it comes to anything).

| I knew something was funny when no specs were put with this, most people would have posted cpuz screenies, and all the settings for that speed. What does this dude do, he leaves as soon as he knows he's caught. I had to try to encourage him to post back though, but he chickened out! Man, what was the point of this? Please, feel free to prove me wrong, I would love to see a photoshop cpuz screenie, or is that out of your capabilities? ![]() |

| Not to get OT, but I think this thread should be deleted or something... worthless post without proof/info/follow-ups Just a suggestion though... If you have screenies afgman, then not to worry, just a general statement for any massive O/Cs.
