Thumbs up

Hi y'all!

Post your temps (couple hrs+...) on running the 3DMark2000 demo LOOP with the MAX res. for your
monitor - might make a difference....

PIII 933@1008 1003 2x256mc 3.2.2 7/9 Gorb 19"flat 900NF Samsung 1600x1200@32bit
room 22*C
idle 36/36*C
max 50/40*C

Well...time to work on some chip cooling....

Regards,

Bajo.

Well, your monitor will heat the room up! And 3DMark may heat your vidcard up. I usually use seti@home to warm up my cpu (and look for aliens!), cuz I like to watch mobo monitor change with the cpu temp. That is, until the cpu temperature display goes to 32C, all my voltages go to zero, and I have to turn the damn power switch off.

Well, here is some temperature data for my PIII700E using SETI@HOME to warm it up.
Ambient 26C for all data shown, fan pulling air off hs, cpu at full load.
Alpha pal6035 w/cheap compound and YStech fan (~24 cfm?)

Vcore / MHz / Temp
1.70 / 700 / 40
1.85 / 700 / 41
1.85 / 966 / 45
2.00 / 700 / 44
2.00 / 966 / 48
2.00 / 1000 / 48 to 49

Talking Randy

Nice heat, Randy!
With my CPU, you'd really be cooking......
Don't have much time right now, but I really need to add some cooling to my system...and also fixin' (as we like to say here in good ol' Texas) to get the new Samsung 1200NF 22"...now, that's really gonna be some flat beauty..!

Best regards,

Bajo.
