*Abit IP35 PRO & Extreme QX6850*

I ate the whole thang! $1200. worth, and the ABIT PRO mobo. Bought the cpu local, Georgia has a no tax day, today. I'm running @ 3735mhz, Bus speed 415, FSB 1660, multi 9x, 4gig of Memory @ 5-5-5-15. The E6600 cpu, with this ABIT, popped right into 500mhz bus speed, with 7 multi no problem. This seems quite the OC'ing mobo. Also runs cooler then others I've played with.

An up-date on the Abit IP35 PRO, this mobo is proving out to be a good oc'ing mobo. Its stable, it runs cool. I've read where you need 8 or better phase power for oc'ing Q-cores. But this ABIT MOBO is proving that statement to be all wet!! In fact the ABIT oc's as well *if not better* then ASUS P5K DELUXE. It sure runs cooler then the ASUS. With the 4 phase power less power to generate heat! Also the silent-OTES does its job of cooling the chip sets quite well. There's a clear CMOS switch in back, no need to open case to clear CMOS. Abit has a great product in this mobo. Would I recomend this mobo, in a heart beat!! By the by the shipping bios is the one I'm running now. It does everything quite well, so I'm leaving it well enough alone!

I have flashed to the newest bios. It sure does make a difference. Before I had to run 555 timings now I can get 444-10 timings. Using the 10x multi x400, I pop right into 4gig I can benchmark, AquaMarks 205,452, Super PI 13s, @ 1m. This is one crazy chip! Again this board is proving out a real winner. A great combo QX6850 and ABIT PRO mobo.

Up-date, the Abit IP35 PRO & QX6850, are running quite well. 444-10 1T, @ 3717mhz, stable. Maybe I can get a little more mhz. If I play around with the voltages and loosen the timings a wee bit.

Skully, are you overclocking that beast? I notice you mention a E6600 earlier on, or was that just a test run? Also, if you are overclocking, what settings are you able to get?

Nice board btw, congrats !
