|  Just a quick questions guys, Can I put a P3 1 Gihz on a CUSL M/B eventhough the Manual says it only supports up to 966 MHZ. Thanks

| Yes you can, but you'll need to flash your bios if they still come with 1001.a...

| why you need to flash bios? I've used 1GHz on 1001A bios and installed windows ME no problem, just shut down problems. However when I flash the bios to 1003 it was gone. |

| er it recognize the CPU correctly hence it allows the installation to go through. The new bios just helped with ACPI. Not the CPU recognition |

| PIII 1000 not as good as I had thought, will perform most tasks at around 2/3 the time of a PIII 500 (virus scanner). had it running at 1200 for about 10 minutes before an automatic reboot occured but other than that the system rungs great. |
