E6600 Overclocking

I recently cleaned and resurrected my uber desktop. I updated the Striker Extreme BIOS to 1504.

E6600 Conroe B2
Striker Extreme BIOS 1504
G.Skill DDR2-800 2GB Kit ... Black Heatspreaders ... 4-4-4-12 ... Micron D9

Memory is Unlinked. DDR2-1000 @ 5-5-5-12 2T ... Stable
CPU = 333Mhz x 9 = 3.0Ghz (Stock Voltage) ... Stable

I tried 400Mhz x 8 @ 3.20Ghz ... 1.35v ... Orthos failed in 2 mins.

Idle temps are 44-45c @ 3.20Ghz. (Zalman 9500)

My case has a lot of airflow (Antec P180), so heating should not be an issue.

Any suggestions?

Goal: ========> 3.40Ghz <==========

P.S. I might be looking into new Intel chippery that goes by the name of E8400. It's cheap in Mumbai, and I think I have a good chance of hitting 4Ghz on that.

Re: E6600 Overclocking

My old E6600 could do 3.4 stable...you need more Vcore to do this !!!!

I did 4.0 with my E8500:
E8500 overclock result..so far !!

Working perfect stable, did all the PRIME-tests !!!!

Re: E6600 Overclocking

I formatted my system yesterday, put a fresh copy of Windows XP and all the updates. I might also reapply some Arctic Ceramique and clean up the case and stuff. Looks like it's gonna be a fun weekend ... I'll keep you guys posted!
