| Re: E8500 overclock result..so far !! Execute disable is the ability to tag memory pages as containing only non-executable data. Which means the CPU will never try to execute data fetched from those pages, which is good protection against a subset of buffer overflow bugs and the exploits that try to use them. I'd keep it enabled.
