| Intel 9550 and 9450 Is there any big difference between the Intel 9550 and Intel 9450 beside the Intel 9550 operate at 2.86 Ghz and Intel 9450 at 2.66Ghz ? where I live ( Toronto, Ontario, Canada) the price of the Intel 9450 is about $387 CAD and the Intel 9550 is about $600 CAD. It seem that the rest of the both CPU are the same; 12Mb Cache...Why the heck the Intel 9550 cost so much ??? |

| Re: Intel 9550 and 9450 Intel had a similar price gap between the E6600 and the E6700. There was no difference other then clock speed. I imagine this is the case here as well. I would get the 9450 and OC.

| Re: Intel 9550 and 9450 Yeah, pretty hard to justify the price premium for the 9550. I just received my 9450. Other than adjusting my mainboard's memory voltage, all I did was set the FSB to 400, everything else still stock/auto, including the CPU voltage, and 3.2 GHz. I haven't even started messing with overclocking. |
