| isa legacy ? hi everyone, i have a intel 865perl mb, what is isa legacy in bios ? is it about the isa slot or is it for standard mouse and keyboard ? can i disable it ?... ![]()

| My guess is it turns the ISA slot on and off. Doesn't the motherboard manual describe things? Check the Intel site for guides. ![]() |

| Re: isa legacy ? I think you mean the “ISA Enable Bit.” This is a BIOS setting for the PCI to PCI bridge and a peripheral attached to it. Some of the older devices cannot decode the 16 I/O address lines and this setting will prevent an issue from that happening if it can only do 10 I/O address lines. You can disabled this because there is will be pretty much no issue with the LPC GPIO and any other device attached to the PCI bridge. Here is some reference material links.
