I'm looking at some company called GSkill for RAM. Jeez, the reviews on NewEgg are positively glowing for their DDR2 PC1066 2x2GB part.

TQ, I wouldn't get Crucial Ballistix memory, I've seen some bad reports on that stuff.

You probably wouldn't be going wrong with any of the choices that were mentioned. But I'm not sure where these specs came from. The page at NewEgg, and the Mushkin page linked to from NewEgg's page, both say 5-5-5-15 and 2 to 2.1 volts.

That is odd. I wonder where that 2.3v figure came from? I was cutting and pasting and visiting multiple websites all at the same time. The 2-2.1 is far more likely the correct number.

Well...Vista Business (or bid'ness, as we say in Texas) arrived in the mail today.
What a great, wanking waste of plastic is that packaging! Jeez...that alone must have added a not inconsequential sum to the overall cost of the OS. Not only that but it takes up as much shelf space four copies of XP.

TQ, when I bought my copy of Vista 64 Ultimate, I went for the OEM version which on average costs $100.00 than the retail version, and it is a full version.

I'm using Readyboost, and it helps by caching my most used applications to the 4GB USB memory stick I bought, until I get the funds to increase my system memory to 8GB's.

One more thing, got to the following website and download Service Pack 1 for 32bit or is it 64bit Vista you have, it's the standalone version and you can then copy the file to a DVD.

Thanks for the links, but Vista is now shipping with SP1 as part of the disk. I did have to special order the 64-bit DVD, which I am sure will also ship with SP1.
It irked me to discover after I ordered Business that only Ultimate includes a 64-bit disk in the package.
