So you can't upgrade past a 3.4E on S478 the max you can find for S775 is 3.8. And with all current S775 motherboards not going to support Conroe, I do not see the point to upgrading to S775 right now.

I guess it all comes down to how much of a boost dual-core gives you over a HT enabled processor. If the boost is 10-15% (no idea what it actually is) then its worth £50 which is what the P5P800 SE sells for on Scan's website.

Edit: LOL at myself since of course I didn't include the cost of the processor!
