| Why should I Fold? It was a question I asked myself some years back. These Folding Proteins are used to find ways to combat cancer and other debilitating disease. You work on 1 WU (work unit) at a time, or in the case of hyper threading, 2 at a time! Together we can find a cure!!! |

| Agree... new folding buds will help ABXZone.com stay more at our 14th place, and of course contribute for a such important project.

Now for the real question: Why will happen if I do fold? Addiction to folding. Computer running 24/7 to help a cause. Wasted CPU cycles being put to full use. Possible lower vcore voltages (something I noticed on my system). Teasing other ABXZone teams in a friendly manner. eg: P4 versus Athlon versus confused P4/Athlon users running for both the P4 and Athlon teams (they get teased from both sides If you do, you get the side benifit of knowing that you are using your computer(s) to help other people in the world by helping to find possible solutions for various cures. The results are not sold, they are given freely to researchers who request the information. Who knows, in the future, you may find you could be the recipient of one such cure due the folding work your computer does today. So why should you. No reason other then a subtle pleasure from folding and the comradery you'll find here with other folders at ABXZone. I must stop folding for now Last edited by c_white_wolf : 05-03-2004 at 01:19 PM.

Just type in Team 1714 and start folding. ![]() Start off with your own name. Decide if you want to join an ABxZone Group later.
