The banner in my sig was designed and hosted by Epicbard, but hasn't shown the correct point totals -- either for the ABX team(s) or personal stats -- in more than a year. I haven't switched to one of the generic banners since this one looks so nice and was done by a "local" boy.

Epicbard had a perl script that ran on his personal machine every couple hours to generate all the banners for people who requested them and then uploaded them to his school webserver where everyone linked to them. He hasn't been around for a while but I assume we graduated and no longer has that webspace since this was many years ago that he set it up.

He gave me the template for the banner and I wrote a php script that dynamically generates banners. It doesn't currently work because it was based on the extremefolding stats but they changed the way you access their xml stats. People were just ripping them off and creating their own stat sites. My usage was within their rules (I only queried their stats on demand and I cached the results in my own mysql db so I didn't have to get the same stats repeatedly) so I could email them and get access to it again.

If you guys want to host the scripts let me know and I'll send them over to you. Otherwise I can contact extremefolding and get it working again and keep hosting on my site. I barely use any of my bandwidth so I don't mind.

I can't host anything, but it would be nice to have these working again. OTOH, if it's any major work, don't sweat it. I'll make do with something else.

The hosting question was directed more toward the Abxzone. I emailed extremefolding about access to their xml stats. Once I get it, it should just be a matter of changing the url in my script.
