| Configure Fold@Home For someone who doesn't use computer very much ( 12hrs/week ) and who is not online 24/7 (dialup), what should I configure my Fold@Home... It often would change WUs before it ends... at 1/100, then at 0/20, then 1/50....

| prog_tom For your time schedule, I would configure 1 console to fold wu's under 5mb w/ only the -local flag. You only have 2 sticks of 256 ram. That's not going to allow you to fold QMDs or large Gromac proteins. Once you have the FAH502 downloaded, put it in a folder and make a shortcut for the console and copy it to your desktop. Right click on it and go to properties. Next, locate the Targer line. It should read C:\whatever folder\FAH502-console.exe -local -config <-- add local and config to the line with the dash infront of each one. Hit apply and close. Click on the shortcut and FAH502 console will open and ask you questions concerning configuration settings. Use this link for further information: Folding@home links, howtos, etc. Cheers Phalinx

| prog_tom I see that you have Win 2000. The client software is made for win nt\2000\xp. I would just goto this link: http://folding.stanford.edu/download.html and download the FAH502 text only console. It should work with your version of windows. Cheers Phalinx
