Just started folding.....hope i did everything right....only thing is that i have to disable my firewall to receive stuff....what do i need to add to my firewall rules to allow it to connect?

I think i fixed it...had to add the fah78 to the firewall rules. Also where do I get one of those nifty sigs with the stats?

yea ..... all my comp does is fold ....

even though i dont have HT ... i can still browse and listen to mp3s while folding is going on ...........

i even playes harry potter and prisoner of azkaban game while folding in da background !!!

So does it take a while for it to show your stats? When i try and create the sig it tells me i'm not part of team 1714. And when I got to the stats page it tells me to check back in 2 hours

The info for the sig comes from an entirely different web site then folding.stanford. That site picks up it's info from Stanford. So you have the wait at Stanford for the server update, then the wait for the other web site to be updated from the Stanford site. It takes a few hours. Your info will show up in a while.

I understand your "frustration" RMAT.

It took quite a while before I got the Monkey_Hanger one working. I think it was 4 or 5 hours!
Just leave it as it is. We'll all know as soon as you do!

It works now....thanks guys. Also this might sound very newbish, but will I loose my work after a reboot. I haven't rebooted yet and wanted to make I don't loose my work when I have to reboot. Or do I have to do something else to cause me not to loose anything. I also gota buddy to start folding too

If you use the console, you can hit the Control +C to close. If you run as a service, you will never lose progress.
