It looks like it is more important to Stanford that they get the work units that were downloaded to user's machines get completed and uploaded back to the Stanford servers quickly.

maybe ..... im still skeptical .... dunno what Mr.Pandey means by "fold for science" ....

As opposed to folding for points. Reading the whole thread will give you a better idea of why it benefits Stanford more to fold with only one instance of the client.

Any clues why this machine keeps getting the FAH78 core "outdated"?? And it goes to sleep. I finally took sammy advise and delted the F78 core. Seems ok for the moment.

I know Folding@Home recommend updating cores regularly to eliminate outdated cores. I deleted them once in a while and let new ones download.

Just started folding and joined the team 2 figure i could make my machine do something when i was gone.. How to you end this folding i was wondering for when i want to use my machine? -Just exit it?-

Well F@H only uses your idle cycles, so when you use your machine and you need more power for an app F@H gives it tou you.... so there is no need to shut it down... but yah if you want you can kill the app...
