| Yeah, I have my mother's box running it too, now that I've figured out how to run it as a hidden service. It's a P!!! @ 1000 MHz, running 24 hrs/day.

| Congrats Tam! Welcome aboard Let us know if you need any help getting it to run Gromacs (takes much better advantage of the pentium 4 than the default Tinker core does!) Cheers ![]() |

| You need to run your FAH client with the following switches: -advmethods -forceasm Make sure you are using the no nonsense text only client. in the same folder as your client is located, open a new txt documet and type: FAH3Console.exe -advmethods -forceasm and save the file. Then rename it fah.bat and double click it. The client will start with the switches enabled and will download gromacs units (may have to finish current tinker unit first). Another method is to run FAH3Console.exe as a service. Look earlier in this thread for info on how to do that. Once you have FAH set as a service, run regedit and seach for FAH - then under parameters, you'll notice one that says "-service". Change this to "-advmethods -forceasm -service" and restart your FAH client or reboot. |

| Welcome to the team, Bill4. Create a shortcut 1st on desktop. Add the -advmethods -forceasm in target. ex: "D:\Program Files\Folding@Home\winFAH.exe" -advmethods -forceasm the pic below is the properties of the shorcut ![]() |

| I've had those flags on my rigs for 2 days and I still haven't seen a gromac. Are they severely limited at the moment? Or do I have to be folding for a little while longer?

| I've been folding only with gromacs wu these few days. Did you see this line in the FAHlog? Arguments: -advmethods -forceasm |

| Now that you mention it, I seem to have 2 logs. An FAHlog and an FAHlog-prev. The FAHlog does have the Arguments: -advmethods -forceasm but the other one doesnt. Can I delete the FAHlog-prev?

| Theres no need to delete the FAHlog-prev. Its a new feature in v3.24 for users to check the logs if anything goes wrong. It will be automatically replace by the existing FAHlog. Strange, anyone else didn't get gromacs wu with the flags on? |

| Hi Black Cobra The way I understand it is, F@H will use any spare CPU cycles. So If your only using a few, it will use the rest. Which would explain the temps, but they look good! Welcome to the team! ![]()
