I've been down for a while. I decomissioned my old server (GA-8IHXP2) and installed a new server. My new server/workstation is an Iwill DH800 w/2 x 3.4 Nocona's and 1gb of Geil Ultra Plat soon to be 2 gb. My P4C800 w.30c is still going strong.

Cheers

Phalinx

Thank you. It feels great! I wanted a server/workstation for a long time, but I had a real troubling time setting it up. There are several things that this board doesn't like.

Things not to use with an Iwill DH800:

1. Bluetooth mouse w/o key(which is not required) gave me bsod. I also tried turning off usb legacy support. Changed out to wireless intellimouse explorer..no more problems..

2. PDP patriot 3200 xblk did not like to be in that board. Had memory errors for some reason. Maybe it didn't like 4x512 running @2225?? I also used relaxed timings. No go. Changed to Geil ultra plat 4200...works now

3. My eVGA 6800GT had many graphical gliches. Thought I had damaged the card somehow. Nope. Changed out ram and changed out the drivers. I'm now back to 66.93.

Everything is running fine.

Cheers

I currently have my memory timings set to 2-2-3-6 right now with the 4 Kingston 512MB chips. I originally set the memory timings to 2-2-2-5. XP would bootup fine without any problems. But, the 600 point gromacs were all ending early. I tried just a pair of 512MB memory chips with memory timings set to 2-2-2-5, but the gromacs will still ending early. I put all 4 chips back and tried 2-2-2-6 memory timings, but they still were ending early. I settled on 2-2-3-6.

I was going to buy the Iwill DH800 motherboard, but Newegg was the only one selling this motherboard. Newegg had screwed me on a return, so I don't buy from them anymore. A lot of online stores were selling the Asus NCCH-DL motherboard and went with this motherboard.

Good luck with your new system.

BTW, are you folding 4 consoles at the sametime?

Yes, I'm folding with 4 consoles. Currently testing for stability. 3 of them are set for 100% and the other is 75%. The left over is for running other apps as needed.

I sent you a PM relating to cpu voltage. MBM reports cpu0 2.21v and cpu1 as 1.34v. The same with aida32. Sandra is a little better, but it only reports cpu2's voltage...1.41v?? I have my cpu voltage set to auto in the bios. Is there a problem or is it that these programs aren't smp aware?

edit: had to stop folding this morning. I had a browser server problem. The dh800 would reboot. Problem is resolved now. Had to disable service...

Cheers

I believe MBM does not support this motherboard. The other programs do not report the TEMPS and voltages correctly.

Did Iwill include a monitoring program with the motherboard?
