| Well, today I hit 50,056 over at F@H! I'm going to try a get another machine up and running, but it won't be up until the middle or end of summer. I just need to buy a decent psu/case. I'm saving some money for that. I had some pretty big expenses this past month. The garage door fell on my car twice and my refridgerator died :bigcry: The garbage disposal spewed it guts on the floor and my kitchen wooden floor buckled. . Just another day in home ownership with no manual.

| Just passed 20K points in a bit under three weeks since starting over. Gonna start takin' names. Wait until I begin OCing again. Running everything at stock is killer! |

| Underwater Mike Trust me don't overclock. If you overclock and a gromac core doesn't like it, bam reboot, reboot......been there.

| FB I thought so for the longest time. I thought I had a stable overclock with my 3.0c @3.75ghz. That processor could do anything. I mean anything or so I thought. I started to have problems once I started folding back in Feb. 600 point gromac core didn't like it. So, I had to back down. I finally realized that the only way is just to have it at stock. So far, production has been great! Lately, I've been having rebooting issues when certain elements come together. My zeon rig will reboot when certain proteins are being folded at the same time. IE, 2 QMDs, 1 Gromac 2002, and a Tinker (400 frames). That combination and one other will make my rig reboot. I can fold 4 Qmds with no problem. I just takes forever. Right now I'm folding 2 QMDs on the zeon rig. Frame times are around 17 & 22 mins. The rig works best with 2 QMDs and 2 (28 point 20 frame tinkers).

| I must admit, I have been folding for over 2 years while overclocked in various rigs, and I have never seen a reboot due to FAH. I think the key is having a super stable rig. Even my monster 1700 + I had doing a 946 mhz overclock. My Athlon rig crunches away 600 pointers like bacon. Running a 2.2 .13 micron Newcastle on 1.6 volts @ 2.5 24/7 for the past 6 months. Now that I think of it, if I can't fold while overclocked IMO, it's not stable. I always used folding at the ultimate stress test. Prime 95 can't even touch it.

| Very true SupDawg...I have noticed that the last year or two as well. If your rig isn't stable, your folding unit will become corrupt and keep restarting. I remember in an older thread I had suggested to backup your folding folder(s) periodically if your having issues - it could very well save a unit.

| Ozzie I just find it kind of strange that I can fold 4 QMDs w/o any problems, but when I go to fold 2 QMDs, a new p2002 Gromac, and a 400 frame tinker the zeon rig will reboot when I'm not around. It may not have anything to do with F@H. I was having problems last week with Win32time. I did disable everything related to win32time, but it still reboots. I've checked the event logs and everything remains the same. Instead of win32time being listed as a problem, there is nothing there to indicate a problem. What I'll probably end up doing is another fresh install of XP this weekend.

| Have you tried checking the folding logs to be sure phalinx? My issues were from using switches - it somehow provided a collision between the two instances that windows didn't pick up. Oops - sorry bud...off to work I go... ![]()

| So far I've been running 4 consoles 24 hrs and no reboots. I'm folding 2 QMDs and 2 Gomacs (p800's). If it's going to reboot, it will happen within the next 10 hrs. Has anybody wondered if newer proteins might cause a problem? I've had 2 reboots while folding the newest p2002 protein earlier this week. It didn't like QMDs and tinkers....
