That is fine. If you want to run 2 consoles at the same time, make sure you run them with the -local switch. That way they will each use 50%

Yes, this is what I did. Both clients are working fine. The console is ver. 5 and gui client is ver. 4.

Looks like you were replying to my post while I was editing it. Make sure you add -local to each FAH executable before running it.

For the gui client, you probably have the executable in the startup folder. Right click on the FAH executable, select properties, then add -local at the end of the Target: box, and click on okay.

For the text console, make a shortcut of the FAH executable on your desktop. Then, Right click on the FAH executable, select properties, then add -local at the end of the "Target:" box, and click on okay.

I put the –local on the console but was unable to get it to work for the gui client, . It kept telling me “target box was not valid”. So I thought I will not use the gui, so I uninstalled it and got two instances of the console going.

It would not let me put the –local on both consoles. I have the two running now and CPU is 100%. Machine IDs are different (1 and 2). One has the "FAH502-console-local.exe" and the other does not have the -local added. I do not really understand the -local part. Is this set up ok?, Because I will leave work soon and leave it running all weekend.

What you want to do is create shortcuts for each FAH console onto your desktop. Go to the properties of the desktop shortcuts and add -local at the end of the target field.

Also, make sure each text console is in it's own folder, such as FAH Console 1 and FAH Console 2.

Also, if you are running 2 consoles, make sure each one has a different machine id number. The easiest way to check is to open the client.cfg file for each console and make sure they have different numbers. For example, console 1 would have a machine id number of 1, and console 2 would have a machine id number of 2. I forgot to check this one time, and happened to get 2 workunits with the same run, clone, and generation. I only got credit for one workunit as the second one was a duplicate.

Edit: Oops, I see you have different machine id numbers...

It will not let me do this. Says "target box invalid" no matter where I try to put the -local.

Here is what it looks like for one of my consoles. Remember, don't change the name of the executable file, just add the -local switch after it.
