| Back-UPS for 650W PSU Currently, I'm using a APC Back-UPS CS 350 for my pc which consists of: GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P Antec 650 Neo Power ASUS EN9800GTX+ DK CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Wolfdale 3.16GHz Western Digital Caviar 160 GB 7MB Cache 7200RPM SAMSUNG 22X DVD±R DVD Burner I'd like to know if there is any danger that could result from using the CS 350 since it's so low. However, I'm planning on buying a new one this week. I just wanted to make sure it's past use didn't have some negative effect that could emerge down the road. Thanks. |

| Re: Back-UPS for 650W PSU Do you have the APC software installed? The unit I have came with monitoring software that shows how much load is being consumed. If you are using less than 350 VA or 210 Watts you'll be OK. I wouldn't exceed the rating by much for very long.

| Re: Back-UPS for 650W PSU Thanks for the info. I did not have the data cable, so I just went out to Fry's and bought an APC 1250VA/750Watts. I ran Furmark for a bit and it reported I was using 220 watts. I'm sure if I were to play games that used a lot of CPU power along with the GPU, I would have higher usage. Thanks for the info and I definitely needed an upgrade. |
