| Ok I have a CUSL2 with a celeron II 566 @ 850 with 1.85v. One thing I did notice is that the chipset tem gets higher than my CPU tem. I have already applied thermal compound under the chipset hearsink and I have my themal probe on the thing and under heavy load the thing get hotter than my CPU. One thing I also noticed is that if I use the onboard video with the same CPU that it runs unstable because the chipset gets too hot. I was wondering if I droped the voltage for the chipset and ram back down to 3.3 from the default of 3.4 will this help me in kepping the chipset tem down? Also have any of you tried the orb cooler with the fan on the chipset? I was thinking of testing out this stuff? any infor on this would be of help plz let me know what you guys have tried? Mike |

| I have tried the Blue Orb and for some weird reason whenever I would turn on the fan my HD benchmarks would become half, but whenever I turned the fan off everything was normal again.I have no idea why it does this, but I am guessing maybe the vibration from the fan has something to do with it.In order to make the BO fit you have to break off a few of the fins, but the holes fit perfectly on the NB.

| Hmm that sounds serious. What motherboard temps are we talking about? With a fsb of 100 a cusl2, which is a fsb133 mobo, should not have any problems. I would guess that something is very wrong, and try to return the board. I cant think of any reason why the chipset would get hotter than the cpu. On a poorly cooled case the cpu temp would also rise to high so .... Again what temps are we talking about. If the mobo is like 25 and your cpu is 23 I wouldnt worry hehe That would just be a case of a exceptionally good cooled cpu grtz Asha |

| That doesn't EVEN sound right - what are you using to monitor those temps? If it's Motherboard Monitor you have them switched around. I have never seen my chipset temps higher than the cpu temps. The only way that would be possible is if you are running some exotic cooling...
