Are you serious? You list systems administrator in your profile?

Even with our recent spam problem, that was totally uncalled for. Remember the "building friendships" part of our motto, please.

Outofsync, please post a complete listing of the components in your system. That would be a good start for trying to determine what the problem with it is.

outofsync - The members at ABX are ready willing and able to help anyone with any computer related problem. (We have also been known to help anybody with any problem)

I was quite taken aback by the question - my computer stopped working what is wrong - in the first post of this thread and the lack of any of the details which ZeRo asked for in his post. Couple that with a system administrator who must have trouble shooted many non-working systems and, well, it certainly sounded like (to me) just another one of the plague of spammers who are infesting the forums and websites all over the internet during these past several months including here at ABX.

Just today:

http://www.abxzone.com/forums/f90/bu...ml#post1398409

Anybody looking forward to Titan Quest (Diablo type RPG)

Those are a few examples. Does anyone think that the two new members who just joined today (with one post) who said the exact same unrelated thing in two different threads (made only ten minutes apart) aren't the same person with two accounts and is a spammer?

Please do post the details about your computer outofsync. We will be happy to help you troubleshoot the problem and build a friendship as per the slogan of the ABXZone Forums.

Re: Computer Completely Dead

@traveler, first I would like to say thank you for explaining the reason I was sent to the hanging tree...second being up in age now I am not at all as quick minded as in my administration days..we had great equipment to do a lot of our work for us and a great team to brainstorm with and all the mobo and ps and terminals at our disposal to swap out and check...well being retired I dont have access to and didnt think I would need for my personal use...why in my first post I was so abrupt without system information I can only blame my age for this....I will remedy this in the near future if it is ok...thank you again
oh yes, the reason I picked your forum instead of the many out there is because you had a fair number of members and I thought if that was the case that the forum must be friendly and that I would be able to contribute and help others in need....never realizing I also would need help..anyway thank you for having me and cheers to the good times ahead...

Re: Computer Completely Dead

Hello outofsync..

There are a few of us noble men of age here. I don't know so much about the noble part, but of age I am. Communication is hard at best, don't give up on us! Sometimes rough first encounters can later turn into some of the best. We will gladly help if enough info is given, and even try if not. What was the last thing you did before the problem? By the by

Good to hear you got it running outofsync.

Stop by again and visit the Open Chat forum for some non-computer chat.
