Re: Cooler Master PSU

To be honest, a Corsair 520HX would do the job just fine, and quieter at that, too, considering the low power requirements of your setup.

Re: Cooler Master PSU

Hi Arrccoo,
The Coolermaster real power pro RS-750 would probably work fine. I have the Coolermaster RS-1000 if you look at my Signature below & it's Silent too. The only thing i didn't like about the Coolermaster was the abscence of a power switch. I added a switch inline to the power cable. Personally i wouldn't buy anything less than a 850watt unit, just to be future proof a little longer, unless you plan to upgrade again in the next year or two.

Regards

Tamco

A little more than 3 years ago, people bought 500 watt PSUs with 20 pin ATX connectors and 4 pin CPU connectors to "future proof" for today. What do we see today? 24 pin ATX connectors, 8 pin CPU connectors, 6 pin PCI-E connectors, 1kW ratings etc. Additionally, more components rely on the 12V rail than they did 3 years ago. My advice is to get a quality PSU that is a little more than you need, but not too much more so efficiency doesn't suffer. You are almost definitely going to need a new PSU by the time computers even come close to needing ~700 watts of power (not likely to happen due to the industry's move toward "green" computing) because there will be new standards for power connectors and voltage rails.
