| I tried the Swiftech 370 with both a YS Tech 26 CFM and a Sunon 45 cfm fan on a 60>90 adapter and got fair results; almost no difference in the temps...tried it both with and without the stickon spacers and yes the need to be used! I believe there was no improvement with the two fans because: 1) Weight and height increased the torque HSF had on the chip...really not a very tight fit even with the smaller fan on the Swiftech... much better with the Alpha! I went back to the Alpha PAL 6035 and got much better results: Ambient 23C, Motherboard 24C, Idle 34C and Full load 44C...on a PIII 1GHz using a Genie modded with 2-120's and a 90. Will try the 60>90 and the Sunon on the Alpha when I can find the 3mm X 40mm bolts...Still seems awful warm for what I am running. I want to see full load around 40C...I'll keep trying!

| Those Alphas are still damn nice heatsinks... I put a Taisol on my Athlon and it's barely keeping up with my custom PEP66. I've done almost every tweak I can think of. I bet you'll see some good results with that adapter on the Alpha - I'd be curious to see the b/4 and after results you get...

| Ozzie How Is The PEP66 Customized? Is it set up like these: http://millisec.safeshopper.com/57/cat57.htm?369? Did the capacitors around the socket cause a space problem? What fans?

| Nope...The way I do it fits on anything... I took the shroud off completely - put a snail fan on the top (superglue) pointing either into the power supply or straight out the back of the case with a duct (toilet paper roll is perfect) and ran 1" of electrical tape around the top of the sink to force the air flow lower and concentrate it...this draws AWAY from the processor and gets the heat out of the case. Good air flow and much quieter than those screamers. I haven't beat it yet with different coolers. Not saying I won't - but this performs very well. I run it on two rigs and one is an Athlon @ 1.5. If it can handle that...
