Just got a new Chieftec case: Waow! All, I just installed my system in a Chieftec Scorpio Black . Apart from the wonderful look (same as Antec SX1030/1040), it's also a nice and cool case. Previously, I had a Yeong-Yang YY-1271 box. The temperatures are now much lower: Case: before 33°C, now 28°C HDD (Maxtor): before 42°C, now 32°C The CPU temperature (P4 1.5@1.8) didn't drop (still at 45°C full load) but that's pretty normal, I guess. I was concerned about my HDD overheating in my previous drive and, in the Chieftec box, it's installed in the drive cage just in front of a 8cm fan. Good to keep it cool. The power supply is also much quieter. Its fan is monitored by my P4B266 and runs at 1973 RPM. So the moral of the story is ... Chieftec cases are recommended by snark (for what it's worth)!!!! See ya! |
that's one nice case!!!:) |
Show us a link snark ;) |
ChiefTech I also am using a Chieftech Case (DA-01BD) with an Enermax 350 watt P/S. I love the case Tons of room. |
I love my Antec case. It's on its 4th mobo... Chieftech/Antec make great cases. |
Great line of cases Chieftec/Antec. I'm running the Antec SX1240. Lots of room for good air flow. Since I run a LiveDrive, I need the drive bays exposed to operate the infra-red remote control. (A remote control computer to control the sound and launch programs amazes my friends.) |
