| Need a HUGE keyboard drawer! Hey guys, this is a pretty cool site.. anyway I was wondering if anybody knew about any large keyboard drawers (32 inches wide or more) or desks with such an item. I've been looking EVERYWHERE and so far I've only been able to find keyboard drawers that are no more than 30 inches in width. I have a Logitech G11 keyboard (it's a freakin' TANK) and I need a good 10 - 12 inches for my mouse/mousepad. I don't want to resort to having to buy a new keyboard because I love mine, but I might have to because if I don't have my mouse and keyboard at the same elevation, everything feels all funky. The keyboard itself is about 22 inches wide, so I'd need something that is at least around 32 inches. I might end up having to make one myself, which wouldn't be too terribly hard, but that's my last resort. Anyway, I hope someone knows about a product that can fix my problem! Thanks!! |

| Re: Need a HUGE keyboard drawer! Well I have a keyboard drawer in my desk that is 95 cm (37.5") wide. However a large monitor won't fit too well in it and the shelf for the monitor is towards the left rather than in the centre. I can't remember the make/model unfortunately as I got it way back in 1997. You'll have most luck finding a desk with a similar drawer looking for a unit not designed to fit in a corner.

| Re: Need a HUGE keyboard drawer! I found the perfect keyboard that you need. I bought the same keyboard for the same reason (i have a g15 version 2). So i searched around and stumbled upon this blog unitstep.net Installing a Keyboard Shelf/Tray. The owner of that blog also has the same problem was we do. He did some reasearch and found this keyboard tray Product Detail. Its wide (30 1/4") with a nice soft grippy texture on it. Office depot canada offers the keyboard, i am not sure if they do in the states. Office Depot - Login. Its expensive but worth it. Good luck!
