Seeking Advice on Quiet/Powerful Fans Hello: I accidently broke one of my fans while doing some case house cleaning. So, I am in the market for a new one, or ones. Aside from Panaflo, please recommend a brand of fan. I would like to have the quietest fan possible that blows out as much as possible. If you know of such 80mm fans below 30DB please let me know and let me know where I can find them. The fan should be three wire so as to connect to the Mobo. That's why I am looking at a fan other than Panaflo. As far as I can tell their fans are all two wire. Thank you all.

The good old Power Vs Sound discussion :-) I was in exactly the same situation as you. My case had 6x 80mm YS-Tech fan's in. Although they provided great airflow they were simply too noisy. I looked at the Panaflo, but I could only source them non-tailed (no connectors). In the end I went for 6x 80mm Evercool's. These are rated at 29CFM. There seems to be an argument on how noisy they are, rated somewhere between 22 & 27DB. I got mine from www.theoverclockingstore.co.uk

Oh, forgot to mention. They come in 3 or 4 pin versions. I bought the 4pin ones, as I needed 6, however the 3pin ones are rated the same.

Hello BladeR: Thanks for the tip. I kinda like those Evercools too. I have already made my inquiry. Since I am living here in South Korea, payment and shipment is a bit more complex...why I even have to worry about Korea's severe customs and value added tax! Once again thank you and don't we just love this site...cusl2 is a good board only because people like you are there to help. take care,

| If you want a great source for all (and I do mean ALL) types of panaflos, check out www.teamawe.com. They have tailed and none tailed panaflos in all sorts of sized and speed. Check out their FAQ for the fan specs and stuff.

I put a rheostat on MC462 cooler fan, Sanyo Denki. It made a big difference. Last edited by Sir Skully; 05-27-2001 at 06:47 PM..
