| strange things on a mobo i've got a friend with a new pIII 1ghz. and a cusl2c the problem he's got is that the bios tells him 65ºc and when he looks it with MBM5 and Probe it tells always 40 / 45ºc. Who is right? the bios or MBM? dunno! |

| what version BIOS is he running? some had a few probs i believe, but, at full load mbm is usually the same as BIOS for me.. i had a few cusl2-c in my store here do that, cpu ran like REALLY hot. it could be indicative of a problem with the mobo.... also, the bios temp is a full load temp. when you get into windows, the temp will almost always be lower...but if thats your temp when you boot windwos, somethings wrong. check your HSF attachment, and if possible remove the TIM and replace with thermal paste..the gig HSF is VERY good, and syou should be seeing some lower temps there... cryogen
