Different barcelona versions to be released?

Is it possible that AMD is releasing different steppings/versions of the the same CPU?
I mean 1.9GHz and 2.0GHz are very close and if rumors of the Inquirer are correct they seem to have much more 1.9 models than 2.0 and 2.3 models for the release date.

It will be too little, too late. AMD will soon be out of business.

Even if they go bankrupt they will be picked up again.
So if you like it or not just accept that barcelona is coming to a PC near to you

I dont think AMD even knows what they are going to release yet. You'll just have to wait and see whats going to happen.

I think it's a result of keeping everything so secret about benchmarks/cpu's that the left hand doesn't know anymore what the right hand is doing.
I guess ones the first CPU reviews are out communication will improve.
They said they would release an 3Ghz desktop part before the year ends so no surprise about clock speeds.

By the end of the year they will have a new stepping and lets hope they will be able to start produce a lot of 3GHz desktop CPU's to start the new year with enough supply so they can actually make profit for a change.

I don't think they planned to do that, I think it's only an attempt to fill the gap due to the delay of an needed extra stepping of barcelona.
And probably some marketing about AMD not being able to reach high clock speeds.
Because no one will be buying an 3.2Ghz Athlon64 when the Phenom is available.
