Help me choose/find a S939 Mobo

Here's the quick situation. My sister's cpu went, it was 1.4 tulation. I got her computer up and running and an old 300 p3 I had laying around. But she runs xp and uses modern programs so it is slooooow.

I want to upgrade her on the cheap. I have an 939 amd 3500+, a couple of agp videocards (including the voodoo banshee in her system) as well as ddr memory laying around.

This basically means I only need a mobo - but it has to be AGP or come with video on the mobo. But I can't seem to find any from a good source for a reasonable price. It does not make sense to pay $250.

any suggestions? She mostly uses word and excel, rips cd's, and internets - which is also why I don't want to buy a new pcie videocard.

Re: Help me choose/find a S939 Mobo

Maybe you should consider picking up one of these ...
ASRock Motherboard - Product - 775i65G - Overview
It has an intel 865G chipset so it has onboard video.
It has AGP slot if you need.
Uses DDR1 ram.
Has 20 pin motherboard connector so you can use older power supply.

Price about 50$

Add a Celeron 420 for 35$ and your good to go.

I have this mobo and just flashed the bios to 1.3 to have support for the celeron 420, runs great.

Thanks. You are right I will probably need to pick up a new cheapo cpu/cheap mobo combo. Although recycling is nice, it is not worth it if it costs you more money than it saves. I've actually had good luck with asrock mobo's too.
