Help Needed

I passed along to my sister a rig I made about two years ago with an AMD 3500 and an Epox Ep-9NPA motherboard. Now apparently the computer will not boot. When started it goes directly to the bios screen. Bios detects the hard drive and all the setting seem ok. Anyone have any ideas on where to start?

If it goes directly to the bios setup screen when turned on, perhaps it is a keyboard problem or a problem with the keyboard interface (ps/2 or usb, whichever it is). Perhaps at turn-on the mobo is seeing a false indication that F2 or Delete or Esc (whichever key commands entry into the bios setup) has been pressed.

Regards,

Re: Help Needed

Let's try the ole thing first. Clear bios and restart, reset bios to default.

Re: Help Needed

Thanks for the suggestions. I will probably be able to get to trying them Saturday. I'll get back with what I find.
