| Re: My computer is Squealing!!?!?!?!?!?!?! I'm sorry, but you joined six years ago and this is your first post...brutha? This is weird...even if i had to ignore the content of the post, that really smells like output from a spambot.

| Re: My computer is Squealing!!?!?!?!?!?!?! I suspect he's legit. Looks like he might have become a member by virtue of the GenMay merger. I'd suggest looking inside for dust buildup, particularly around the fan bearings. Or, you might have a fan that is simply wearing out. -- Al |

| Re: My computer is Squealing!!?!?!?!?!?!?! Can't you open the case and localize the sound? That would help narrow the possibilities a lot. In any event, squealing is usually either a bad bearing or a bad capacitor. |

Yep. Could be the database merger. Which forum did you originally join Cannibale? I ditto ctal: Dust build up - blow it out. Fan going bad - replace it. Or a fan came loose in its mount - re-mount it. ![]() | |

| Re: My computer is Squealing!!?!?!?!?!?!?! It's easy to be paranoid with all the new spammers lately, but I have seen for a fact that the Genmay people keep whatever year they joined there. Ditto on a fan likely failing. I had that happen recently with a 120mm. It was very annoying.

| Re: My computer is Squealing!!?!?!?!?!?!?! Very high pitched squealing can come from an exploded cap in a power supply. |
