Pretty cool! What if you took the AMD logo and faded it over Vader? It could be the new FX/62 icon for the new "Vader core" for AM2 chipsets.

The race for quality has no finish line- so technically, it's more like a death march.

Nice idea. I can't do it though. Where I'm at right now limits me to using MS Photo Editor and Excel 2003.

I have attached the two pics I found if someone else can do it.

Well So far so good. I dont like the mobo. I was waiting for a deal but im just going to buy the DFI N4 Ultra Lanparty.

So far the system gaming wise is definatley better. However my old system stomped this 3700 when it came to encoding or decoding or etc. But I guess I really only play games so what does it matter.

The reason I sold my stuff in the first place is the price the p4c800e revision 2s are going for on ebay. I just sold my mobo for 180 Thats what i paid for it 2 1/2 years ago. This upgrade all in all cost me under 100 total after i get the DFI. So far i havent ran to any problems with using the 20-24pin convertor on my Enermax.

Only problem is mobo doesnt like my ddr500. It underclocks it to 157 default instead of 200 and wont let me change the timings excelt CL. Oh well im sure ill be crying when i see all the options in the DFI.

Well I suffered a bit of instability at first. While carefully switching to the orange slots in the DFI NF4 Ultra-D I realiazed I didnt plug in the additional 2 power connectors. Since then its ran hard rock stable. I also found out that my Hynix ram is *****-able in Nvidia chipsets. I'll be going with 2gig low latency pc3200 or a little higher. The chip is great in games but my old 3.2ghz @ 1000FSB was quick and speedy..... that pushed aside im selling my 3700+ on ebay..... yup I thought I could handle AMD but it isnt for me.......

My opteron 165 will be here next week Ha you thought I was going to go back to intel (maybe conroe).

Hopefully I'll get a good stepping. You can pick up the 165 opterons from Monarch Computer OEM with a 3 year warranty for 288 shipped.

Some have had results of overclocking to 2.8 - 3.2 but on lower average 2.4 - 2.6. At that speed an price how could I not go for it. I'll let ya guys now how it goes.

Those OPTY's are some great Oc'ers. I had my 144 up to 3.0 without any additional voltage and it runs daily at 2.2. Hardly any increase in temp and runs perfectly. Got mine from Monarch too. Good luck. Lets us know how it goes.

That it is and dual core is just what i was missing. The 3700+ felt so slow compared to my old OC intel 2.6c.

I ended up lucking out and getting the CCBBE 0610DPMW.

Im only running at 1.8ghz stock and I noticed a great deal of speed difference between the two amds. Also...gaming frame rates seem the same... except for the smoothness with the dual core. Granted im going to burn my processor in first before overclocking but I just had to hop in at 2.6ghz (thats fx60 speeds) default vcore (i wont up the vcore). I primmed a bit not long but it didnt error out. Temps were 48c on 2 instances of prime. I'm thinkin about sellin my zalman and goin for a Ninja Scythe with a 120mm fan.
