690v vs 780g ?

I'm going to be bbuilding a new system. I'm looking at two mAtx motherboards from Asus. One has a 690v chipset the other has the newer 780g.

I will not be using the integrated graphics. The CPU will be a 4850E.

Is it worth getting the 780G over the 690V?

Re: 690v vs 780g ?

I'd base that decision on the southbridge and what the boards offer in terms of connectivity. If the difference there is something you feel is worth the cash, then by all means go with the 780G.

One thing you can do with the 780G and a discrete ATi video card is run it in Hybrid Crossfire mode. A little extra oomph.

Re: 690v vs 780g ?

I plan on using a Radeon 4850 for the graphics so I don't think the Hybrid Crossfire will be relevant. I have tried to find some benchmarks, but nothing really came up except tests with 3450 cards.
