Foxconn C51XEM2AA, most benchers using that one. Pics here

ASUS has never been good for AMD IMO, and I hear the new boards have probs with EPP. That and it is overpriced.

I got the K9N SLI because it was cheap and people were saying good things about it. The Foxconn is about $80 more. I will get one eventually but I am going on vacation in a week so blowing my $$ on computer stuff is not an option right now. May go down in price by the time I get back anyway.

Hello Paragon! Good to see you again!

That is one hell of a rig you got there. Have you tried OCing it at all?

I'll be releasing a review on the Redline RAM the first of next week, I've been working very close with Mushkin and I truly think this is some of the best RAM I've ever used.

Thanks, Ken! I also found my case, I got a Lian Li G70 completely tricked out with everything but water cooling from Performance PC's, I love it!

Good stuff, nice to see you on the flip side, feel free to post us some results. I will be doing a review myself, but am waiting on a new board first.

I wrote a detailed email to MSI tech support about the power issues in their board and the tests I have done. Too bad they dont dare answer it. .

Got back to testing a little bit this eve. 1.41v gets me 2880Mhz, 1.50v gets me 2940 so far, still working on more. Dual 32M, prime and 3d mark stable. Voltage gets crazy at 1.52-1.53v so I am sticking to 1.50 for now. Keeping RAM clocks low until I learn the board and its quirks better.

Hi Guys!

Well after benching my *** off this weekend and playing with almost every combination available

I was able to get the Asus board to a max FSB of 230 and it was moderately stable at that, problem is with the current Asus BIOS 504 you can't boot even using lower multipliers at > 235 FSB or if it does boot and even underclocking the the CPU for the sole purpose of getting a higher HT (FSB). Some reviewers using the 401 BIOS which is no longer available anywhere reported that the problem was fixed, but it appears to have returned with BIOS 504.

At 230 it got the following benchies with the Mushkin running at 4-5-4-11-2T and 2.20 volts:

Sandra 2007 Memory: 9319 Mb/sec INT Buffered, 9227 Mb/sec Float Buffered

Super PI mod 1.5 XS 66.152 seconds

Everest Ultimate 2006 v 2.8 Read: 9042 Mb/sec Write: 8549 Mb/sec Copy: 9066 Mb/sec Latency: 44.3 nanoseconds

HL 2 Lost Coast Bench: 109.2 FPS @ 1600 x 1200 no AA/AF

Secret Sam II Branchera Bench: 97.1 FPS @ 1600 x 1200 no AA/AF

Hoping Asus will get a decent BIOS or I'll be headed to Foxconn as well...One cool feature that Foxconn borrows from Intel is a "memory only adjustment" called SLI Memory OC% that allows you to OC the memory to 1000 MHz w/o OCing the processor... Overall from everything I've read Foxconn is now the board of choice for AM2, even NVIDIA leans more towards Foxconn in all their partner publications.

The shame of things is the memory really needed to be tested on a system that would let it shine at >= 1000 MHz. I'm planning to do an addendum to the review when I can achieve that with different equipment.
