From your picture they are the same....:bigcry:

another positive review of the A8N32 board..this time from The Tech Report...this board sounds like a DFI killer to me in terms of getting back the enthusiast market...sounds like a great board for both gaming, everyday use and overclocking...the Triple Crown

http://techreport.com/reviews/2005q4...i/index.x?pg=1

"The board's nForce4 SLI X16 chipset is arguably the best core logic for the Athlon 64...And don't forget the eight-phase power solution, which I suspect was at least partially responsible for our board's phenomenal overclocking ability..."

Yea I seen this, only prob his ocerclocking results are flawed He used .5 multi. 8.5 to be exact. That throws a monkey wrench into the memory OC results. Makes me question every thig else if he's that much an AMD noob

Quote:
Overclocking
For our first round of overclocking tests, we backed off our OCZ memory's timings from 2-2-2-5 to 2.5-4-4-8, dropped the CPU and HyperTransport multipliers, and started cranking on the HyperTransport clock. We were able to get the board stable some 95MHz later, with a 295MHz HT link speed, 3x HT multiplier, and 8.5x CPU multiplier that kept our Athlon 64 FX-53 close to its stock 2.4GHz clock speed. We left that RAM at a 1:1 ratio with the HT link. This is the highest overclock we've had on any Athlon 64 motherboard by about 15MHz, which is an impressive result to say the least.

Probably wait for the next generation or whats ever available next fall, I'm on a 2 year upgrade deal, my system is still good enough for the games I play now, but the A8N32 is really temping, if I didn't change the chip set fan and heat zinc to the Swiftech MCX159 I would do it now....

I just got off the phone with ASUS and there never was any 2.0 Revision of this board...there is a Revision 1.01 which was caused by a slight bug but nothing after that...so for anybody purchasing the board make note that Revision 1.01 is the latest version out

whew, just got an email from Zipzoomfly about 9:46 pm that it was back in stock, and if indeed I did place my order in time, It seems I may have grabbed the last one at 10:15 or so.

I went back to check and the the stock had already been listed as backorder again. I just hope I didn't get stuck with a phantom stock item...

I'm buying this board as soon as my friends whole seller can get it to him. The issue is that I'm going to be wanting to put a sound card in here like most of you have.

Why would ASUS even put the PCI slots so close if they know they're just going to be virtually impossible to utilize in the intended SLI setup? It seems as though they were just figuring that people with a single graphics card setup could use the other PCI slots but if they were going to go with the SLI then they would just have to sacrifice those slots for it.

The boards reviews have been awesome from what I've read, but the PCI designs seem to be ill thought out.

For those of you with the boards, what do you think? Is the air flow cut off for this board if you're running the SLI setup and you want to use more than 1 PCI slot?

seems like ASUS thinks that people are buying this board only for SLI and they did not take into consideration the fact they people may actually use the extra PCI slots for something....they should have at least made a non-SLI version of this board

but other then that, the board looks amazing

for those that have not purchased the board yet--Newegg lists today as being the day that they are due to get the boards in stock again (most probably limited stock again)...so keep checking Newegg throughout the day and get ready to pounce when you see them in stock...

Really need some kind (and wealthy) person to get some pics posted with two double slot video cards and a PCI Sound card in sitú, I don't fancy being the Guinea Pig.

Look at this pic and use just a tiny bit of imagination. It's doable but will be very tight
