Ok, I get it. No post. Hmmmmm. I'm still a greenhorn. No Ideas. I wouldn't mind no post. As long as I could get to bios anyway.

So do you have the show asus logo enabled or disabled? And how about quick boot? Maybe a complete reflash with the latest BIOS will fix it.

still with asus logo off you should still see the post screen. Cpu speed, mem count, drives, usb connected etc. Sounds dodgy to me, as said above give it a flash see wat happens?

I have Quick Boot enabled and Full Screen logo disabled...

when I disable Quick Boot I can see the very end part of the BIOS post...the part where it says "Press ESC to Boot" and then the 10 second countdown starts...but that part is only viewable because of the fact that I disabled Quick Boot and I am now viewing the longer boot process...I've also tried a few different BIOS versions, all with the same issue

it's not that big of a deal as I can still enter the BIOS (which is the most important part) by blindly hitting the DEL key but I still would like the entire BIOS post to be displayed...

I RMA'd my first A8N32 board for another reason but even with that board I had the same issue...

anyone have problems with the LAN on this one. All will seem to be fine and then for no reason I cant connect to the internet. IE will stop responding and pages wont load. Mean while my wifes PC is surfing along merrily.

BTw I think I am connected to LAN 2 if that makes a diff. I am about to RMA this board but would like to hear from you all first PLEASE !

BTW for those of you who may have bought this board from NEWEGG ..was it shrink wrapped when it arrived. Was the mobo static bag taped shut or was it open ?? I am kinda suspicious if I got a refurb from them ?

try connecting to LAN 1 and see if it makes a difference...I'm connected to LAN 1 with no issues...

I was one of the early ones who bought this board back in December...but after numerous issues I had to RMA the board back to ASUS in January...ASUS did a swap and after I got the new one everything's been running smooth...

I don't use the nVidia firewall so I'm not sure...next time when installing the nForce drivers make sure to disable the nVidia firewall...only install the ethernet and SMB drivers (and the audio drivers if you are using onboard sound)...I also do not install the Nvidia IDE driver as many have said that it is better to install the Windows IDE driver

Your manual is your best friend! Look for ports name, it will tell you which is which. But if yours is like mine, the one closest to the keyboard/mouse ports is the Marvel. So, that means the NVidia is the one closest to the audio ports.

The manual is no help on identifying which chip drives "LAN 1" and "LAN 2"...the A8N32 manual says that both LAN 1 and LAN 2 are Marvell LAN's

"Supported by Marvell Gigabit LAN controller, this port allows Gigabit connection to a Local Area Network (LAN) through a network hub."

but I believe that Nvidia is LAN 1 and Marvell is LAN 2...I would use Lan 1 (Nvidia) as the Marvel one has much higher CPU utilization
