quick question, when installing windows OS using this mobo, what drivers do i need for the raid? I have used the sata drivers and raid drivers, but the system still doesnt see the HDD, says it unknown and then where my partions are supposed to be, it says no disk plugged in, or summit like that. This is on the choose where you install windows to.

And, can you describe when and how you are installing the drivers as well as the connectors you are using?

sata1 and 2, the pc will boot into windows xp and xp64, i wanted to reinstall windows, but cannot seem to. I do the normall proceedure F6 when prompted, i have the Silicone raid drivers on floppy as the SATA drivers supplied from asus website, but gets to the choose partition to install, it says Unkown above each partition, and no disc present or something like that. Did the same with winXP64, 64 sata drivers and raid, this said no HDD found. Im sure when i frist installed my OS the drivers found after the F6 press were something like Nvidia Mass storage driver (needed) and Nvidia Raid Controller (needed) or something like that? Dont seem to come up with that, it just says Silicon Image...................sata/raid..... have i got the wrong drivers? I cannot find these Nvidia ones at all?

Yes, you have the wrong drivers for SATA1 + SATA2 RAID. You need to go to the ASUS site or browse your A8N32 install CD and find the Nvidia RAID drivers.

and where would I go for newer nVidia RAID drivers....I have the CD but was hoping for newer drivers than that !

ok. how about this one then please.

I am having a major brain fart. Installing XP(with sp2 on disc) and I am trying to figure out if I already have USB 2.0 drivers installed. In my device manager this (see attached) is what I come up with. Is that the right number of Hubs etc ???

Most recent (sept 06 I think) Raid drivers included in download package from nVidia at main site, yes to nForce4 AMD....sorry, but did not notice this post til now.

Chipset Drivers?

I'm a little confused about the chipset drivers on this mainboard. I've tried doing searches but I can't turn up much. I hope someone here might know...

I went to do a complete reinstall of XP on my computer. I thought I would download new chipset drivers from the Nvidia website. The chipset for this board (as per the manual) is: nforce4 SLI X16
There is no such chipset listed at the Nvidia website?? Here are the choices:
nforce4 Intel X16
nforce4 SLI XE/Ultra Intel
nforce4/nforce 500 series AMD
nforce4 SLI Intel

Which is the correct choice for the Asus A8N32 SLI Deluxe?
