Hi FB.
This is how my confusion started. At first I thought those were the right drivers too, but take another look...the drivers you mention (nforce4 Intel X16) don't match the chipset (nforce4 "SLI" X16).
I'm getting a headache trying to figure this one out.

Re: Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe thread

I just installed 1405, so far I haven't noticed any changes.

I have my 2nd replacement A8N-SLI deluxe motherboard from ASUS. This is a refurb and I don't think it is working correctly. I have a weird problem when resuming from S3 standby mode in that it resets the FSB to 200MHz. If I restart the system the FSB is once again set to 270MHz. I've examined all the settings in the BIOS and I don't see anything that could be the cause. Any ideas or do you think this refurb board is defective.

Thanks,

Re: Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe thread

This may be a dead thread... but if you use the A8N32-SLI Deluxe with SLI video cards and are experiencing high CPU usage due to deferred procedure calls (DPCs) and interrupts, it MAY be caused by the PEG Link mode trying to OC your video cards.

Try setting PEG Link to normal; I had 30% or more CPU cycles being taken up with DPCs and hardware interrupts, but setting PEG Link mode to normal completely eliminated this. I also haven't seen any of the BSODs I was occasionally getting with SLI.

Re: Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe Boot problem...

Recently I Re-installed XP Media Center 2005. Every thing is great with the exception of boot. I have to hit F8 and select my system drive every time.

After disconnecting my storage drive, CD,DVD drives, floppy and printer, it boots extremely fast. The post is barely a blip.

Any clues would be appreciated.

Michael

Talking Re: Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe thread

.....welp, Hello to all herefor in this mthrbrd catagory; for as you can see in my sig's for the main brd i am running on my gaming rigg went south ( the MSI's K8N DIAMOND PLUS ); all of a sudden i lost the main, Primary, PCI-E slot. So, I've have a few of these mthrbrd's and just re-set all upon one, then RMA'd the mthrbrd, since still under warrantee,.....and only was notified that it could NOT be replaced; so i am being sent an "Upgrade'd" version of .....(believe it will be one of the AM2 slot & to take DDR2 memory...otherwise all else is the same of ) So, since I know this IS a very compatable, EVEN = better mthrbrd of the MSI's, I chose to transferr all to be within in THIS community of a system and all...........half to admitt, this was a whole lot simple'r to set-up and run and all..... and basically just did a whole complete re-install of XP w/SP2 without a hitch...... .....sorry IF i didn't try & use & stick with this mthrbrd earlier, but I am for here now and glad i did seitch over to.........WILL now be subscrib'd for here and maybe even post here and thar for anything ahead........

mr. Charles
