At 224, you can probably raise HT to 4x, not that that will help you pass Prime. I think the PC3200 Platinums can run at Cas2 only up to around DDR433 (216). Have you the tried the 12 multi? 208X12 would get you close to 2.5GHz. The Samsung TCCD chips are capable of high HTT, but with very loose timings.

I haven't tried using the 12 multi yet. It's next up on the list if I can't get anything out of playing with these voltages at 224x12. They don't seem to be helping much at the moment.

Eh-Up !
Guys, you might remember I was having probs with running memory 1:1 at 250ht, knowing the memory was rated for 500ddr, and the CPU was fine at the clockspeed I had ?
Well I have just enabled the 2T command in bios and its gone past a few minutes of prime, previously it failed after under a minute .. could I be onto something here ...

2T slows things down quite a bit, so yes it would probably run!

Sierra, how long do you run Prime before it's considered stable to you?

One thing I noticed last night is that Prime doesn't seem all that consistent. Previously I tested at 220x11 and it made it over two hours at default vcore/vdimm. When I tried the same test again last night it only made it 20 minutes. What the hell?

Riptide,

Are you basing the fact that you're "unstable" on Prime alone? (i.e. Are you stable in everything else but Prime?)

I haven't used much else to test with other than the occasional 3dmark03 run.

I'm one of those picky people that won't be happy unless it's completely stable and if prime crashes... well then it isn't really stable.

To be honest, I don't run Prime anymore. I usually test stability by running SuperPi 32M which is another long number crunching program. Generally if my system completes 32M, I don't have any problems. I run 3DMark to test video stability. I believe there's a bug in v.237 of Prime that causes errors when using 1024MB of RAM.

I have a copy of SuperPi but haven't used it yet, at least not for burnin.

The version of Prime I'm using should not be the one that has the bug w/1GB.

Trying a 209x12 right now...

Damn...

209x12 2-2-2, x3HT

1.5vcore, 2.50vdimm = FAIL BSOD
1.5vcore, 2.60vdimm = FAIL BSOD
1.5vcore, 2.70vdimm = windows, prime fails 2 min
1.5vcore, 2.80vdimm = windows, prime fails 2 min
1.55vcore, 2.80vdimm = windows, prime fails 2 min
1.60vcore, 2.80vdimm = windows, prime fails 5 min
1.625vcore, 2.80vdimm = windows, prime OK for 1HR (quit test)

Appears that it really wants vcore. The problem? I don't want to run vcore over 1.6. It gets *HOT*. We're talking 60-65c @ load when running 1.625 or higher. I'm guessing this CPU is a poor overclocker to be asking for that much vcore for a lousy 100mhz o/c?

*sigh* Guess it's back to stock again. Was worth a try.

Ok, I just pulled the trigger on a Zalman CNPS7000 CU. Right now, running way too hot. Sometimes Load is at 65 C. But at least it is completely stable @ 2333 Mhz.
