I believe so. I just got a 1006 modded version from him with multis back in. I have to test it before he posts it.

Time is running out for me. I have to make a choice in 2 weeks.

Someone on another forum got a reply from Asus saying they're working on an official BIOS (1007) that will address the AGP/PCI issue. Not sure who to believe at this point.

Sierra, do you like your A8V? And have you read anything about the gigabyte nf3 939 board yet?

I've had no problems with the A8V except for a self-inflicted one (fried LAN). lol. A few people at XS have had success with the Gigabyte board, but that was after VDimm mods. Xgman didn't like his. There's a rumor that DFI will come out with a 6-layer nForce3 board that has VCore up to 2.2v and VDimm of up to 3.3v.

I'm going nuts waiting for the nf3, but it looks like that patience might pay off. I really like the DFI. I hope it delivers. But I'm so bored, I'm close to just buying a A8V...nvidia is moving too slow.

Thanks for the heads up on the DFI. Your latest scores are looking really nice.

Several resellers have the Giga board in stock, but it's expensive. The MSI nForce3-939 board is due out soon. It's probably going to be similar to the Socket 754 version and a few people have had problems overclocking that mobo.

Sierra,

Well I did it, I pulled the trigger . I just got tired of waiting and after reading the review of the gigabyte nf3 @ shortmedia I was less than impressed. The Asus is as fast or faster and I don't need a lot of the Bells and Whistles that make that board so expensive. I've read enough reviews of the A8V to know that it delivers.

If some other end-all, be all Mainboard comes out, I'll grab it later on. Until then I think the A8V will do just fine.

I ordered it all with free shipping and it should be here by Thurday at the latest. Already ordered my Water block adapter as well from kooolance. I decided on the OCZ because I love my pc3500 EB. The Corsair XL was attractive but I think the EB will give me more headroom. Since the new Video Cards are so rare and overpriced right now, I'll go ahead with this box and look at a XT PE or 6800U Extreme (BFG OC) next month when hopefully sanity has entered the Video Card market again. lol...besides my X800 Pro should get a nice workout from the FX53.

OMG I'm giddy like a school, I have never spoiled myself with a cutting edge system. I can't believe I actually did it, I'm such a tightwad!

/cheers!

Thank you. I told you that all your benching from the last couple of weeks had weakened me. It's all your fault!

Ok, can I bug you for a few links to the latest Beta Bios, 4-in-1's & anything else I might need to get things up & humming along smoothly?

Thanks and any inside tips will be greatly appreciated. =)

You can find the beta BIOS at this link. If you haven't already, you need to register at Bleedinedge.com to gain access to the BIOS. I'd recommend 1005.021. That's the one I'm using.

The 4-in-1 drivers can be found at the VIA website. Link

I'd also recommend using Clockgen and CodeRed's A64 tweaker.
